performance is terrible, it only uses 1 core for conversion even when multi core is enabled. 8+ hours for 1080p video. There are many free tools that easily out perform this product.
Will convert "any" video? No. It wont. It "fails" on FLV files. A freeware program (FLV Crunch) I found later did it perfectly. Why lie about your product?
great app
very easy to use! depending on the file extension, it can be very fast at converting the file to mp4 format. Overall, very happy with it :)

cant get it to work
Just wasted $9.99 and i cannot get it to work. Hate it
I used this version of Movavi for just about a week and on the second week I tried converting videos but it says, "FAILED"; everytime I try to use it. I spend about 10 dollars on this crap and its waste of time. I mean I know its not that much but at least dont trick customers on how you put your product on description and it ends up being a total crap!

I dont get it. How can they sell things that do not work isnt it tested by Apple. This doesnt work at all.
New version is much better but not good. picture quality is a 4 and sound is a 10. if they could improve the pictue quality it would be a great app. but now it is still not worth the money….

This program works as exactly as advertised which is a huge surprise these days! I convert and shrink lots of movies for use on my wireless drive. Since the cost of wireless portable storage space is quit high and the bandwidth is limited, it’s imperative that I am able to shrink my movies to a smaller size MP4. This program allows me to easily shrink and convert my media to perfectly suit my needs. I can’t over state how well this program works. I have tried a lot of programs and some of the others are not horrible, but they all seem to have bugs. This program will convert a single file or batch of files with ease. Last weekend I loaded 60 movies I wanted to shrink down. I set the language option and converted size and told it to convert. The program ran all weekend long, night and day, until it had converted every last file without a hitch. This program is well worth the money. I would recommend this program to anyone who needs to convert or shrink their media files.
I really enjoy this app a lot! I just wish it could work with iTunes videos/movies. Price is decent as well. It easily converts video’s to MP4’s w/ no problems. This is a great app!

Simple and intuitive. Loaded quickly and worked on first try… saved me the usual waste of time.
Will not work on M series Macs
Don’t even bother buying Movavi if you are using an M series Mac. Does not mater whether its a Laptop or a desktop… I have tried on my M1 ultra, M2 Max, M3 Air, and my new M4 Mac mini! However, it does work rather well on older Intel series Macs. If you have access to an older Intel machine, then go for it.
Completely worthless
First (and only) use - yellow caution symbol, “cannot open”, reference to “unsupported codec”. Might as well advertise “we guarantee we can convert every video we can convert.” Wasted my time and money. Save your time, take a $20 bill, burn it, you’ll come out even.

Work 33% of the time.
Converting AVI to H.264 and sometimes it works....usually it fails. It makes a file but it will be like 1 second long instead of the real length.
good when it works
I formated 100 videos and out of the 100 only 52 are playable. for most of the other videos there's no picture others are corruped or format not supported. i even tried formating again the originals with other formats and its doing the same thing.

It seems to be the best converter I've used so far.
Software not worth paying for
Steep learning curve for such a simple purpose tool. Had to do allot of trial an error to figure out how to get output that would work for Apple TV, despite output format specifically labeled for "Apple TV". It doesn't support an output format for Apple TV in which subtitles are selectable, you are forced to embeded the subtitiles, burning the subtitles into the video permanently. At least it doesn't ask for a subscribed payment method. I'd suggest gambling on a more expensive app and see how it goes.
Simply doesnt work
Tried to import TS video files for conversion to MP4, and got sound but no video.

Very straight forward, does what its advertised to do without trying to have you pay for a subscription. Definitely the best option

Application does not work on M1 Pro
This application failed to convert a video from WMV to MP4 with several configurations attempted. The application also failed to open a VOD DVD file from non region locked video.
So easy to convert my home movie dvds
I have a large stack of home movies that I needed to rip from DVD to mp4 so that we could get them into the cloud. This software was super easy to use and speedy. I have not tried it for anything other than home movies but it does the trick for those really well. I can watch these on all of my Apple devices now and feel better knowing that they are safe in the cloud if anything happens to the original DVDS
Doesn't work on my Mac M1 Mini
MP4 converter doesn't work on mu Mac M1 Mini, but it works very good on my old 2013 MacBook Air.

Very Disappointing
Works about 1/3 of the time. The other 2/3 of the time the video comes out black. Don't waste your money on this one.
Does not Work on my Mac
I get a generic error for every file I try to convert. Useless. Uninstalled.
Best MOV to MP4
Easy for the most basic conversion that is needed. Why Apple shoots to MOV and then a conversion is needed I have no idea, but this tool does the trick. Worth the price!

I have converted large computer videos sized down so they are easily received and played on the cell phones and without fail I get a really good conversion. Easy to operate and understand the App!
Best yet - and I've tried a whole bunch
As anyone who has played around (aka struggled) with converting knows...many app choices and few should be chosen because most are very lacking. Either not enough features or too complicated for those of us who only need the app occasionally. With this one, I drag in my video, move the slider until file size fits the task at hand (uploading to a transcribe service, forinstance) and...voila. Being able to convert a sample is a nice feature and the price is right. So far, bravo!
Total Bust for AVI Files
Although the description claimed it will convert AVI files, it won't even read them, much less convert them. Cheap junk code. Don't waste even a dime on this.
WILL NOT CONVERT VOB FILES
In order to convert VOB files (they indirectly don't include VOB files in their list of format--but they say and many more...). So just spent money on a product I can't use. It may or may not work well on other files. I don't care. I already have a converter for that. I wish these companies would be more straight forward. So many of them, including this one, say Free download when they are just trying to get to buy their product as the free download is worthless.
Easy to use
So far, the best video converter I’ve used. My personal opinion! It does what I need so far so no need to look for something else. I surely recommend it! Forca Blaugran!

Purchased to convert/crop/edit a windows file of a ballgame in iMovie. User Interface was intuitive and problem free. Conversion was quick and the product was of high quality. A useful accessory when working with iMove/Windows files. Well done.

Not as advertised. Doesn’t open AVI files. I want a refund. No support. Web page is just a loop of Q&A. No way to contact developer. Take customers money then run and hide.

Great DVD Converter
Many options for format, HD, size, etc., subtitles, bonus tracks, etc. Easy to burn a DVD to .dvdmedia (with Ripit) and convert to proper format with this Movavi MP4 Converter without reading advanced options (many, for advanced users). I have tried 3 apps, and this is easiest and fastest.
